How it started

It all started in October of 2014. A phone call from Cliff Wright to Jamie Kelley. He wanted to make a guitar to replace one he was giving his daughter for Christmas, and called Jamie to see if he thought it could be done. Jamie created the first artwork and he and Cliff worked on getting the colors right. They loved the result, with Cliff saying this was as good a recreation as he’d seen. That gave Jamie the idea: what if other people would want something like this? And Paisley Crazy was born. So the two went to work; Cliff as project manager and head coordinator to get all the physical elements together, and Jamie as head artist and graphic designer. The two have a similar knack for details, and just as with their other projects (like www.justawesomekaraoke.com and www.theredhotandblueboys.com), they studied the originals and researched them in detail. The more they learned, the more closely they scrutinized their work. They weren’t about to quit until it was right.

How it’s going

Years of tweaking, experimentation, and learning resulted in an absolute work of art, as you can see from the video. Soon, we’ll have more information and videos showing these beautiful guitars, so you’ll know just what you’re getting when you order a Paisley Crazy guitar!
